Meeting Minutes for July 26, 2010

  1. Community Updates
    • Chris leading calls for now - great job today!
    • JIRA review
      • Noah done with a pass - about 30 left open re: wizards/portal
      • Chris trying to finish up
      • Bryan committed to Sakai 3 work
    • Not a lot from T&L this week - getting organized; thinking of OpenEd Practices; "lenses" group (Sakai 3 T&L functionality) figuring engagement with the managed project
    • Sakai 3 Updates
      • Jacques offering a demo for 8/9 - will send preparatory information to the list
      • Portfolio visioning virtual meeting signup going well; Janice getting ready to schedule the meeting, scoping
    • Wondering when we might get started on independent release; Chris would prefer a sooner start due to anticipated difficulties in repackaging; Noah will talk with Anthony this week
  2. Sakai/OSP Maintenance Status (Bug fixes can be verified on the following QA servers Nightly Build (HSQLDB) or Nightly build (Oracle))
    • SAK-18766 Erratic Stickiness of Group and User, No page update after Manage Status in Matrices tool
      • Verification in hand, Noah doing more research this week
  3. Sakai Development Status (next major release cycle)
    • SAK-14401 OSP Tools don't respect language/locale preferences (only when english is not the default locale)
      • Snag found last week; Noah checking with Beth on ETA
    • SAK-18559  Add support for email notification preferences in Matrices and Wizards (download design) (pending branch, test server and trunk merge)
      • Question: register the existing tools in the OSP way? Looks like it will be easy, so let's just do it and see what people think; Chris leading
    • Deprecate Reports & Warehouse
      • Follow up between now and 8/23, likely informed by independent release conversation; make a decision and commitment by then
