Meeting Minutes for Sept. 13, 2010

1. Community Updates
   • OSP JIRA review status update. Chris made some progress (see crossed out Jira items below).
   • Teaching and Learning (T&L) Group updates. There is a Lenses call tonight.
   • Status updates on OSP Help UpdatesJan is still working on it.
   • Sakai 3 General Status Updates
     • Virtual Meeting for Portfolio Visioning in Sakai 3.0Jan sent out a message to the list with the phone bridge info. There is going to be a portfolio category for the TWSA award (Teaching with Sakai). The notes from the planning meeting are linked from the page.
     • Sakai 3 ePortfolio
   • Independent OSP release cycle: action items moving forward. Anthony should be back from vacation this week and will hopefully start working with us soon.
   • HEC/Montreal Demo of Portfolio 3.0 [September 13th]
2. Sakai/OSP Maintenance Status (Bug fixes can be verified on the following QA servers Nightly Build (HSQLDB) or Nightly build (Oracle))
   • SAK-18766 Erratic Stickiness of Group and User, No page update after Manage Status in Matrices tool (UMICH). There is fallout from 15710. There were changes to the dropdowns. There are still some open questions that Noah will talk to Chris about offline.

Chris changed formView.xslt to give access to uploaded artifacts. IF YOU HAVE A CUSTOM RENDERER OR HAVE MODIFIED FORMVIEW.XSLT, YOU NEED TO INCORPORATE THIS CHANGE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FIX.
3. Sakai Development Status (next major release cycle)
   • SAK-14401 OSP Tools don't respect language/locale preferences (only when english is not the default locale)
   • SAK-16693 Roster Synchronization (pending adding optional flag, branch, test server review and trunk merge) If Chris doesn't hear any compaints this week this week, he will go ahead and merge this. It's been running in production for a while at IU.
   • SAK-18559  Add support for email notification preferences in Matrices and Wizards (download design) (pending branch, test server and trunk merge) If Chris doesn't hear any complaints this week, he will go ahead and merge this.
   • Deprecate Reports & Warehouse - planning to have an agreed plan by 8/23 (may affect or be affected by independent release work)
