Meeting minutes for January 4, 2010

  1. Sakai/OSP 2.6 Issues and Status (Bug fixes can be verified on the following QA servers Nightly Build (HSQLDB) or Nightly build (Oracle))
    • SAK-17055 Matrix group filtering does not differentiate Sections from Groups Beth fixed. Needs to be verified for merging into 2.6.
    • SAK-17481 Error saving a free form portfolio when a page has been created with no layout. Brian fixed so that it doesn't throw a stack trace, but he will change the message.
    • SAK-17119 Previewing Unsaved Freefrom Portfolio results in stack trace. Brian's fix fixed this, too.
    • SAK-16433 FCK editor freeform portfolio item plugin does not create hyperlink. Noah will look into what's going on. May be that the plugin has been updated and we didn't catch it.
  2. Sakai 2.7 Development Status
    • Status update: 2.7 QA Testing (The OSP Test Scripts can be found at System Test Scripts). Lynn will add in IU matrices test scripts. Anyone who cares about wizards should update the wizards pages.
    • Status update: Code review / bug fixes - info from Alan Berg
    • Known issues remaining for merged SAK-15710 (IU enhancements)
      • SAK-15877 Ensure conversion scripts are correct. Chris working on this.
      • SAK-16237 Not allowed to evaluate in Evaluations tool in My Workspace. Assigned to Chris and in progress
      • SAK-17350 Broken link back to associated assignment when editing a cell
      • SAK-17458 Matrices broken for Site migrated from 2.6. Related to conversion scripts. Beth will look at it and have it merged to 2.7.
    • SAK-16557 Indexes are missing on OSP tables with Oracle. Indexes have been documented, but we need a way to get them created other than manually. There are a couple CTools references that need to be cleaned up. What happens with hibernate when you bring this up against MySQL. Should be ALTER if not exists, so you don't blow away existing tables.
    • SAK-17508 Can't change name of portfolio in Portfolios tool. Need to verify this against new 2.7 build.
    • SAK-17579 OSP fails if compiled on Java 1.6. There is a workaround.
    • SAK-17326 In Portfolios tool, auto-select newly created forms when adding/editing content. Chris did some work on this. Beth looked at it and thinks it needs a little more work. Noah liked the methodology.
  1. Sakai 2.8 Development Status
    • SAK-17564 Support display of Public Portfolios within a site. Beth introduced this. She added a revised mockup, which we discussed. Please look at it and let Beth know if you have any issues. Resolved: this is a reasonable change for 2.8.
    • SAK-17351 Copy Portfolio. No one currently working on this.
    • SAK-17324 Add Portfolio Name to Portfolio Details on Summary Screen. Plan was to have IU put their changes before users. Michigan is going to make a new proposal.
    • No commitment to a 2.8 yet, though considered likely.
    • IU roster syncing piece should go into 2.8, since it didn't make it into 2.7. Lynn will pull together info and present it next week.

    • Status updates on OSP Help Updates(October review; November commit). Only a Noah and Jan have work outstanding. Reviews still need to be done.
