Course site home page, Login as an Instructor

1.

Select the News link

User directed to a News page with RSS feed contents taken from sakaiproject.org

2.

Select the Options link

Options page displayed with pre-populated title and URL

3.

Modify the following:

• Tool Title: Tool Title
• Page Title: Page Title
• URL: Copy Link location... Yahoo Top Stories RSS feed (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/_ylt=AlINTOkQeJOzDzL_iv9HwJJA4gEA;_ylu=X3oDMTE3bzFkM2sxBHBvcwMyBHNlYwN5bl9wcm9tb3NfZnJlZV9odG1sBHNsawNpbWFnZQ--/SIG=11dus0oj2/**http%3A//rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/topstories)
• Select the Update Options button

The user should be directed to the Page Title (formerly Sakai News) view and the tool title and RSS feed should all be updated to the recently submitted data---the page should show a stylized RSS collection of articles

Select the Options link

User directed to the Options page

5.

Modify the URL field as follows:

• Select the Update Options button

An alert is displayed in Options window stating that the URL is an invalid RSS feed.

6.

Select the Refresh arrow

Modification canceled. Returned to main Tool Title (formerly Sakai News) page

7.

Select the Help icon

The Help window opens up with help information on the News tool displayed.

8.

Close the popup help window

User should be at the Tool Title (formerly Sakai News) page

9.

Select the Graphic Version link

Popup window opens to the external URL

10.

Close the popup window

User should be at the Tool Title page
