purpose:

Verify that instructors can create and manage lessons that students are able to access

User should be able to created, view, edit, delete, export, import lessons that other users should be able to access

resources.doc, resources.mp3, resources.xls, MeleteImport1.zip

  • Leave the dates as default
  • Select the Save link

Page refreshes with a message stating: Module properties have been saved successfully. Click on "Add Content Sections" to continue...

Select the Add Content Sections link

Enter the following:
Section Title: Lecture1
Instructions: Test instructions
Modality: (check both Textual content and Visual content)
Content Type: Compose content with editor

Page refreshes with FCKeditor form

In the FCKeditor, select the Insert/Edit image icon

Popup window appears called Image Properties

Next to the URL text field, select the Browse Server button

A new popup window opens and user directed to the /private/meleteDocs/.../uploads folder

In the navigation pane of the popup select the 'up' directory icon

User directed to the /private/meleteDocs/... folder

In the navigation pane select the 'up' directory icon

User directed to /private/meleteDocs

In the navigation pane, select the current course's resources folder (Course site for this particular procedure) directory icon

Select the resources.jpg file

The second popup closes and the first popup window should update to reflect that resources.jpg is listed in the page. The actual image should also be visible in a Preview window in this popup

In the Alternative Text field, enter: Res Pic Alt Text

  • Select the OK button

Popup window closes and user should be at the FCKeditor view of the CLE. The selected image should now populate the FCKeditor

16.

In the FCKeditor text area, hit the enter button on keyboard to start a new line

In the text editor form, the cursor moves down to next line

17.

If any default text exists, remove it. Then, enter the following: This image speaks volumes to what we are discussing.

  • Select the Add link

Select the View Section link

User directed to a Previewing section page where the Section title, instructions, and text and image should be visible

Next to Lecture 2, place a checkmark in the box

  • Select the Right link

Page refreshes and Lecture 2 (with numbering scheme 1.1.1) becomes a child of Lecture 1 (with numbering scheme 1.1.1)

Next to the Test Mod link, select the + icon under the Next Steps column

In the text area, enter the following:

  • Select the Add button

User directed back to the Lessons index where the icon under Next Steps should update to be a magnifying glass.

  • A message will also state: Next steps have been successfully added.

Place a checkmark in the checkbox next to Test Mod

  • Select the Archive link

Test Mod and all of its children sections should no longer be visible

  • A message should state: You have archived modules: Test Mod. To restore in the future, click on Manage >> Restore

Select the Manage link

  • Select the Delete link
