Site Info - Edit Site Information, Tools

purpose:

Test Procedure to verify that site owner can edit the information and tools

User should be able to modify the site information and toolset

setup:

start at:

AM HIS1 101 home page, Login: aphillips

1.

Under the Site Management category, select the Site Editor link

User should be directed to the Site Editor page where a description of the site and the site participants can be found, along with links to various actions

2.

Select the Edit Site Information button

User is directed to the Revising Site Information page for the current site¿the Site Title and Term should not be editable

3.

Type the following:
Description: Edited Description
Short Description: Edited SD
Site Contact Name: (leave as default)
Site Contact Email: (leave as default)

• Select the Continue button

User is directed to a confirmation page of recent edits

4.

Select Finish button

User is directed to the Site Editor page

5.

Select the Edit Tools link

User is directed to the Revising Site Tools page where a list of tools with checkboxes next to them appear

6.

Uncheck the Calendar and Announcements tools

• Select Continue button

Confirming site tools page will appear

7.

Select Finish

User directed to the Site Editor page. Announcements and Calendar tools should not be visible under the Course Resources category any more
