Test Procedure to verify that users can create feedback and allow other users to view that feedback

expected result:

User should be able to import .csv file of feedback, allow other users to view feedback, delete feedback if necessary

feedback.csv, feedback_update.csv

Select the Feedback link

User directed to the Feedback page

  • A blank table should be visible, stating: There are currently no items at this location.

Select the Add link

User directed to the Add/Update Feedback File page.

  • Instructions: Your feedback file must be saved in .csv format. The first column of your file must contain individual usernames. The first row of your file must contain headings.
  • A form with the following fields:
  • Title:
  • Choose a file:
  • Feedback Availability

Enter the following:

  • Title: Test Feedback
  • Select the Browse... button next to Choose a file field

A popup File Upload window will appear

Select feedback.csv (this file has specific requirements) and select the Open button

User directed to the Add/Update Feedback File page with the Title field and Choose a file field populated

Select the Post button

User directed to the Verify Upload page where a summary of the .csv file is displayed

6.

Select the Save button

User directed to the Feedback page where the recently imported .csv file is now populating the table.

  • The row has options to view, view participant, update, delete, and download
  • Under the Release column header, it should say No

7.

Select the View link

User directed to the Feedback view for that particular piece of feedback

  • For every column header in the .csv file, a corresponding one will be visible. For every value, a corresponding one will be visible.
  • There will be one additional column, Last Checked, under it should read: never

Select the Back button

User directed to the Feedback page

Select the view participant link in the row

User directed to the View Participant page where a select box will be shown with no value for default

Next to the select box titled Select a Participant, select aallen from the list

Page refreshes and all the details for aallen are visible on the page

Select the Back button

Select the update link

User directed to the Add/Update Feedback File page—similar to expected result for step 2

Next to the Choose a file field, select the Browse... button

Popup File Upload window opens

Select the feedback_update.csv file

  • Select the Open button Page refreshes with the new path and file in the text field

Select the Post button

User directed to the Verify Upload page

Select the Save button

Select the view link

User directed to the Feedback view for the particular feedback item

Popup window asks user where to download .csv file

The downloaded .csv file saves to the desktop

  • User still at the Feedback page

In a new browser/user session, login as a Student User in the same course

Select the Course Site link from the Quicklinks menu

Under the Course Tools category, select the Feedback link

Switch back to the other browser/instructor session

  • Select the update link

First, check the checkbox next to Release feedback to participants?

  • Select the Browse... button

  • The Test Feedback item should read Yes under the Released column header

Switch browser/seesion back to the student user

  • Select the refresh arrow icon

Page refreshes and now the Test Feedback item populates the table

Select the view link

User directed to a Your Feedback page for the particular Test Feedback item

Select the Back button

User directed to the Feedback index

Switch browser/session back to the instructor user

  • Select the delete link for Test Feedback

User directed to a confirmation page with a notification stating: Are you sure you want to delete this item?
