Cognitive Walkthrough Worksheet
(issues should be included in summary above)
Scenario 1:Â Faculty member Lily Langley wants her architecture students to read a specific article (in her Resources folder) for their next studio class.
She has already started to create the event
# |
Step |
Screen |
Comments |
---|---|---|---|
1 |
She sees a long form that sets all the details for the event. |
|
|
2 |
She scrolls down if necessary to "Add Attachments." |
See above screenshot |
Users may have to scroll down to find this option. |
2 |
 |
 |
Users may mistake this button for the 'add event' functionality, particularly if they have scrolled the page far enough down to see the 'add attachments' button, but not the 'save event' button. Could we encourage people to use a different indications for adding attachments in their tools? |
3 |
She scrolls down if necessary to "Select a resource." |
|
The lower part of the form has the important advantage of presenting the Resources menu in a familiar form. |
3 |
|
|
Many familiar tools would let you click on a file to select it. In this case, that opens the file. You have to notice an "Attach a copy" link well to the right. However, the preview functionality is useful. |
4 |
She sees the resource she chose displayed at the top of the page |
|
The 'Continue' and 'Cancel' buttons appear both towards the top and at the bottom of the page, and are clear. |
4 |
|
|
Resources 2.4 doesn't call them URLs, does it? It's now something like 'add a web link (URL)'. |
5 |
She clicks the 'continue' button and saves her event |
|
