Agenda:

Meeting notes:

  • Issues with conversion scripts are assumed resolved.
  • No significant issues emerging with OSP or Samigo.
  • Resources - still a number of blocker & critical issues outstanding. Will review the situation if these aren't substantially resolved by next week (5 July).
  • We will cut two QA tags twice next week, on 5 July (as scheduled) and a new one on Fri 7 July, so we have an opportunity to fix & test any last-minute issues leading up to the release.
  • Confirmed list of provisional tools, as reflected in component/component-api/component/src/config/org/sakaiproject/config/sakai.properties (currently commented out). Note that the Summary Calendar tool is not stealthed, as it does not have any categories listed in its registration file, and therefore has to be added to a site template manually to show up. As discussed at last week's meeting, provisional tools will be stealthed as late as possible, to make it easier to test these tools as late as possible.
  • Confirmed that the OOTB distribution will include everything (including Mercury), i.e. it will be identical in scope to the QA tags.
  • Seth described the Oracle character set issues - it is essential that Oracle databases are created with the correct character set upfront. This will be highlighted in the release documentation. We should consider a check at startup time to see if the Oracle db charset is correct (if not log a warning).
  • JIRA items: need to set a Fix Version of 2.2 or 2.2.00x for new or assigned issues, so that developers take appropriate note of them.
