Set-up Portfolio Admin Site

Please do not use the scripts below.  The OSP test scripts have been moved to a public Google Docs spreadsheet, which is available at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AldPCURzarLgdDY0TmJxcFV1R3hQaHZyWXRUbUpTRlE&hl=en_US#gid=0. This will allow concurrent editing of each script and easier documentation and tracking of results.

Script Information

Description

The Portfolio Admin Site is used to manage global Forms, Glossaries, Layouts, Styles, Templates, etc. In this script, the portfolio program administrator logs in and configures the site. This involves setting up a global Glossary, Forms, Portfolio Templates, Layouts, Styles, and Reports. When completed, these global resources will be used in other sites in scripts that follow.

Navigate to Portfolio Admin Site

If currently logged in from Activity Two, Log out

Select the 'Logout' link in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. You should be presented with the default gateway.


Log in as a program administrator. In top-right corner of Welcome page enter:
user id: 'dschmidt'
password: 'deaton'
Click Log in button.

Select the Portfolio Admin or the My Active Sites tab.

List of administration-type sites appears.

Select Portfolio Admin site from the list.

Portfolio Program Admin Home appears.
Ensure that the tools appear as ordered in the design



Set up Glossary

Click Glossary from the listing of links on the right.

The Glossary Manager page is displayed with one or more glossary terms listed.

Verify Glossary Permissions.
Select Permissions...

Validate permissions against design

Click the Import link at the top of the screen.

The Import Glossary Terms page is displayed.

Click Select file... next to the textbox for Files to Import

The Select Item page is displayed.

Click on the Add link next to the Portfolio Admin folder.

The Upload Files page is displayed.

Click on the Browse button. Browse to the location on your computer where you saved the files for this sequence.
Choose the test_glossary_terms1.xml file that you saved previously.
Click Open to choose the file.

The Upload Files screen displays the file test_glossary_terms1.xml listed for upload.

Click Upload Files Now

The Add Attachment screen appears.

Click Continue

The Import Glossary Manager page displays with the options to "Replace the existing term with the imported term" or to "Ignore the importing term."

Select the "Ignore" option and click Import.

The Manage Global Glossary page displays with the terms.

Repeat steps 4-10 with test_glossary_terms2.xml, selecting the Replace the existing term with the importing term

The first glossary file has intentional errors in the definitions. Replacing it with the 2nd file should correct the errors.

Run through the following sequence with these glossary terms

The Add Glossary Term form displays.

Fill in the Term, Short Description, and Long Description with information as designated in the instructions above.
Click Save button.

The Glossary Manager page is displayed with the new term listed.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each available term.

 
Set up Forms

Comments Form.zip, Evaluation Form.zip, Reflection Form.zip

Click Forms from the main menu.

The Forms Manager page is displayed with zero or more Forms listed.

Verify Forms Permissions.
Select Permissions...
Select Cancel once verified.

Validate permissions against design.

Click Import...

Import Forms screen is displayed.

Click Select File...

The Select Item dialog appears.

Click on the Add link next to the Portfolio Admin folder.

The Upload Files page is displayed.

Click on the Browse button. Browse to the location on your computer where you saved the files for this sequence. Choose one of the three files that you saved previously. Click Open to choose the file.
Click on the Add Another File button and upload the second file. Repeat the process for the third file.
Click Upload Files Now.

The Upload Files page displays the list of files to upload.

Click Continue

The Import Forms screen appears.

Click Import

The Forms Manager page is displayed with the items you imported.

Select the global publish link next to each of the new entries.
Confirm by clicking the Yes button.

A confirmation dialog appears asking if you're sure. If you select Yes the global publish link goes away and the Global State changes to published, if you select No the Forms Manager returns unchanged.

Set up Portfolio Templates

Template 01.zip

Click the Portfolio Templates tool.

The Portfolio Template tool appears with no portfolio templates listed.

Click the Import... action.

The Import Template screen appears.

Click the Select File... link.

The Select Item screen appears with no items selected. Items with the .ZIP extension in the resources list should have a select link under Actions.

Click on the Add link next to the Portfolio Admin folder.

The Add menu is displayed.

Click on the Upload Files button.

The Upload Files form is displayed.

Click the Browse button next to File To Upload

An operating system dialog appears which allows the selection of a file from the local computer. Choose the Template 01.zip file saved previously.

Click Open or Save

The Select Item helper appears with Template 01.zip in the Selected Items area.

Click Upload Files Now

The Portfolio Templates -> Add Attachment screen appears with the Template 01.zip listed under Items to Attach.

Click Continue

The Portfolio Templates -> Import Template page displays with Template 01.zip ready to import.

Click Import

The Manage Portfolio Templates screen appears with the Template 01 name in the list.

Set up Layouts

The Portfolio Layouts tool appears with a list (currently empty) of Portfolio Layouts.

Click Add...

The Add Layout page appears.

Complete the New Layout form using the Two Column layout described on the global layouts page.
This includes selecting each of the required files, and adding them to resources as necessary.

Click the Add Layout button.

The Portfolio Layouts tool appears with the new layout displayed in the list.

Repeat steps 2-5 using each of the Layouts described in global layouts

 
Set up Styles
