Quality Matters and Online Courses
In June 2010, Marist College Academic Technology & eLearning (in partnership with the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs) offered a pilot program to bring online courses into alignment with the Quality Matters standards for excellence in online education. Since then, 40 faculty have attended our Quality Matters workshops, each offering high praise about the importance of the material for their online and hybrid courses. This session will explore our QM implementation and training, including how we use the program to promote best practices for using Sakai tools and the innovative use of learning technology. This program is ideal for any institution considering implementation of Quality Matters or a standards-based redesign process.
