Ok, it seemed like Audacity would be our answer to having an open-source, cross-platform audio recorder, but will it work as a plug-in/applet?
It seems like we want something that doesn't require a separate desktop app and has a similar UI to CourseWork's audio recorder like Javasonic's ListenUp. Too bad it's not open-source.
Perhaps Dartmouth's DL-Recorder will be the way?
