End-User Support Group

Welcome to the Sakai End-User Support Group!

The End-Use Support Group is on hiatus, with regular meetings suspended, as it awaits a leader.  Meanwhile, see the resources below, updated occasionally.

FACULTY:  Sakai is a collegial family of instances that differ somewhat in their configuration and implementation, to suit the purposes of the particular school.  The open-source components are the software and its interfaces and the Help files, and they are tailored and integrated on installation.  So the best documentation resource for faculty is the institution's own experts.  If that does not satisfy your needs, try the following web pages offered by institutions during a community discussion in September 2010, along with the other resources below:

Oxford: http://weblearn.ox.ac.uk/info
Rutgers:  http://sakai.rutgers.edu  ("How do I...?")
Texas State:  http://tracsfacts.its.txstate.edu

This is a place where the Sakai community can:

  • Share tutorials and documentation to support Sakai end-users
  • Exchange Best Practices for training and consultation
  • Discuss ideas and share end-user experiences
  • Pose & answer questions

If you have come to this page directly (and see no embedding), please refer back to the main End-User Support Group page for news and status.

Training, Tutorials, Documentation, Consulting Resources & Presentations

If you have end-user support experience help the community grow by sharing. If you're new or have limited resources feel free to use and revise this content, sharing the outcome. All are encouraged to engage in dialogue about your-own end-user support experience, as well as your experience with this community peer sharing process.
