Notes
Settings redesign (SAM-2070)
-I think we settled on sticking with the jQuery accordion, not tabs, because there was a capability for expand all/collapse all, which some users still seem to want
-Keli said there was some value in simply consolidating, but that as much of the changes that have been made to save real estate, as well as lable changes, should be made, or it will become cumbersome to use
-Keli described some additional changes and asked if there was anyone other than UHUHS interested in helping to develop the settings enhancements with Longsight giving tips (either Bryan or Sam Ottenhoff).
-Both Mike (UHUHS) and Brooke (Asahi Net) said they would get in touch with Bryan and coordinate with each other
-Andrea asked about whether selection level feedback was also for matching, not just multiple choice; Keli said she would check and adjust language
-Keli said that this may mean that the equivalent "Assessment Type" areas would need to be consolidated, though maybe not need jQuery--if needed, Keli can design and spec. Also, Keli can be looped in if error messages need to be rewritten to use new labels.
-People agreed that the first section to tackle would be "About this Assessment" which is the most straightforward.
Metadata searching (SAM-2179)
-Bryan described an enhancement they are doing for NYU to make the metadata fields more useful and wanted feedback. Since Stanford doesn't use metadata much, Keli asked if we could ask for feedback from the teaching and learning and user groups and Bryan agreed.
Other items
-Narasi asked if there was any other school interested in adding ability to redo single calculated question without changing variable, not entire assignment. No one did but he said he would create JIRA describing use case/need in more detail.
-Some feedback from: raulsv@um.es (via JMariano): Their school is upgrading to 2.9 and would like to add these enhancements. (universidad de murcia). He would like some review and comment on these patches
Proposed that we review last two bullets aboe, as well as Peter Liu's proposed placement tests, during next meeting on Tues August 6.
