Editing metadata in assessments
Note: To complete these procedures, you must be assigned a role having the necessary permissions. To determine your role, follow the directions in Participant roles. For a basic understanding of roles and permissions, see Permissions and roles: Overview.
Before you publish an assessment, you can edit its metadata from the Settings page. To do so:
- In the menubar of the relevant course or project site, click Tests & Quizzes.
- From the Assessments page, under "Pending Assessments", click -Select Action- next to the title of your assessment and choose Settings.
- Click the black triangle next to "Metadata".
- Add any keywords, objectives, and rubrics in the provided text fields. Additionally, you can select Questions to record metadata for the questions in your assessment.
- Click Save Settings or Save Settings and Publish.
If you follow the instructions above and the metadata field is not accessible, you will need to create a new assessment type that includes access to the metadata field. To do so, see Adding, editing, or deleting an Assessment Type.
