Citizen Journalism Logistics
This page is a brainstorming/organizing space to define the processes and sequence of events to make sure everything runs smoothly during the conference.
Types of videos:
- Screencasts: Spearheaded by Lance Speelmon, to be done mostly before the conference
- Sakai Knowledge Nuggets: 1-5 minute videos, made on site with Flips, edited after conference
- Streaming of sessions: Spearheaded by Former user (Deleted), 7 laptops streaming and recording from each breakout rooms.
- Professional Recordings: Crew of cameramen to record the keynote addresses, TWSIA winners and honorable mentions.
- Brief "case studies"
- TWSIA winners
- Sakai 3 - Cambridge, NYU, Georgia Tech
- Perhaps T&L leaders on lenses expercise
Communication requirements:
- Set expectations
- Define different types of recordings
- Call for volunteers to provide hardware
- Call for volunteers to operate equipment on-site
- Instructions to presenters
- Make sure someone is streaming and recording for them
- Ask presenters to share their materials online ASAP or during the event
