As things stand in the assignment tool, if you grade an assignment the grade always results in an item being added to the gradebook tool. In some cases this may not be desirable, so this Jira is all about adding a checkbox indicating that the instructor wants it displaying in the gradebook. This means we will be able to have “silent” grading service items where tools can store their grades in privacy.
