So @Andrea Schmidt - I would rather focus this Jira on what this Jira notes as broken. If the original bug this Jira reports is now fixed - I want to close this JIRA. If there are issues about UI improvements - I would much rather have a Jira that has a title of “improve the UI….” so when we discuss improving the UI we don’t confuse whether or not a bug has been fixed. Things get a little confused when bug fixes morph into feature requests - bug hang around too long. UI improvements and feature requests need different discussions than bug fixes - which are either fixed or not. Thanks.

@Andrea Schmidt - They both need to stay. Not all LTI tools will have grading capabilities within the tool - not all LTI tools will function like StickyGrader. Some LTI tools will only manage submissions without a grading screen. The https://sakaiproject.atlassian.net/browse/SAK-46953 will make it so that the graded between any “within frame” grading and Sakai Grader remain in sync when someone does a grade within the frame. I agree that the UI is confusing but we can’t take features away because they might be confusing. https://sakaiproject.atlassian.net/browse/SAK-46953 works its tail off to bring back the Grader to LTI assignments which was taken away since Sakai 22 (I think).

I was able to grade and discovered not only can I get to the Sticky Grader grading page, but I can also grade with the Sakai Grader. This is really confusing and think it’s a bug. Which should be used to grade - the Sticky Grader grading page or the Sakai Grader? One of them needs to go.
If the Sticky Grader is how this should be graded, then the page that loads should display the Sticky Grader grading page again. Having the instructor use the Student Data shows incorrect information and does not work as well as the Sticky Grader grading page did.
I’ve got 2 videos - one of them shows the Sakai Grader is actually there when I initially clicked on a group.
When using the Sticky Grader grading, the instructor is able to view the submission. Using the Sakai Grader, you cannot access the submission unless you also have the Sticky Grader grading visible.

The submissions page does show the groups and submissions correctly:
The instructor does not see the regular grading page expected for Sticky Grader. If I remember correctly, this was working when I tested https://sakaiproject.atlassian.net/browse/SAK-48967 , but broke shortly after.
Now the instructor has to select student data and the information displayed is not correct.

Hey @Andrea Schmidt could we re-test this one? I think some bits will work better - but students will never see the group submission unless they did the submission - at least with Tsugi tools. Sakai won’t force launch into a tool under the id of the submitter for a non-subitter. That wont get changed - so we need to come up with some text in the Sakai UI.

If the instructor added an LTI assignment for group submission, the instructor is unable to view and grade submissions.
