Issues Observed in NVDA+ CHROME/ FIREFOX are:

Accessibility Issues:

  1. Even observed that, while navigating using <down arrow> or <up arrow> key, focus moves to rich text editor, but NVDA is not reading the input provided. The same is rendered by NVDA only while navigating using <TAB> or <Shift + TAB> key.

  2. Observed that in CK editor help keyboard command dialog box, there is a close button which is not receiving focus with <TAB> or <Shift + TAB> key. Only cancel button receives focus. Thus, user can come out of the box using 'cancel' button and 'escape' key, but not using 'close' button.
Note: The said close button receives focus only for the first time, on pressing ‘Alt + 0’ from rich text editor, but later with <TAB> or <Shift + TAB>, focus remains on ‘cancel’ button and does not loop within the CK editor help overlay.

  3. All the toolbars button are not receiving Under discussion <tab> <shift + tab> and <arrow> key focus.

It is a pass case in JAWS+ CHROME AND JAWS + EDGE environments.

But the accessibility issues found in JAWS+ EDGE environment are:

  1. Unable to edit the text in the CK editor.

  2. Pressing "backspace" and "delete" etc performs their function, but Jaws only announces the 1st letter.

  3. To access the word/character count information, it appears that screen reader users will need to use the arrow keys to navigate to this information, as pressing tab and shift+tab will only cycle the cursor between the “Rich Text Editor, Item Form: Question Item Text_Text Input” and “Add attachments” options and the word/character count information appears somewhere on the page between these and can only be accessed by up arrowing after tabbing to the “Add attachments” option. Also, the word count option is visible only when pressing "enter" on the “Show Rich Text Editor (and character count) Link” option.
