This seems to be already fixed in 11.x? Please re-open if I'm missing something.

Hi @Rebekah Roehrs. The other JIRA is marked as a feature request because it also involves surfacing the eye icon in the left menu, which is new. (The JIRA also introduced the lock icon in the left menu, but we need to push that one off until later.) But yes, I hear your point that the italics and gray styling was there before. So, it's fine that this JIRA is marked as a bug.

Karen McPhaul, my manager found the jira and is busy testing something else.
I wanted to point out that I *don't believe this is a feature request, like the older Jira states!
In 2.9 (which I'm on) and on the 10.0 nightly at https://qa10-mysql.nightly.sakaiproject.org/ which I tested today, in Site Info, Tool Order, when you hide a tool, it shows up on the course menu with gray and italicized text.

Yup. Thanks, @Rebekah Roehrs! That's the original feature request for this. I'll relate the JIRAs.
After an instructor hides tools in *Site Info-Tool Order *and saves changes, nothing changes on the course menu to the "hidden" tools.
In the past, the hidden tools were "grayed out" and italicized, so the instructor knew at a glance which tools were hidden to students.
Now an instructor won't know if tools are hidden to students, unless they go to student view, where hidden tools are not visible to the instructor.
