There is a slight known issue with this. If the item doesn't contain and resources it creates it as a new page or subpage.
However if it just contains instructions it's added to the manifest only as <imsmd:langstring> but with no attached resource. Most of these were seeing have been very simple things added that should be recreated anyway (like links to forums) but that's currently a issue. I think to fix this it would have to see if there's any children items before choosing whether to add it as a page or an item.

Verified. Imported IMS CP that included inline and files on Nightly trunk.

No this is out of date and the old version wasn't sufficiently tested or complete. It seems like the path forward talking to U Baltimore is probably more likely some external process that will update the xml in the zip file to allow it to import rather than any modifications to Lessons. I don't have a copy of that script yet though.

Is there a patch that I can apply to current trunk or sakai 10 to test Lessons import support to IMS CP zip package? Had BoF last week for migrating melete content to Lessons. This feature gonna help a lot for this migration process. Would like to check the update of this.
IMS CP is a simpler version of CC that doesn't support as many features. We are going to investigate modifying the import to support importing from some sample CP packages containing page resources or files commonly imported into melete.
This also includes changes for importing html content as TEXT rather than as resource files.
I believe for this to work correctly you need these properties
lessonbuilder.cc.import.forceinline=true
lessonbuilder.cc.import.singlepage=true
