you can't change an item due date manually and save it. only using the calendar works

SmartSite@UCDavis - 2.6.4.2 - Sakai 2.6.2 - Server "ucddev1"
gb v1.4.0-a6

edit and changing a due date by manually typing in the new date. save and save & close stay greyed out and closing makes the date revert to what it was previously. changing the date using the calendar popup does work.

to clarify a bit further...
I think if you can enter an item due date either manually or with the calendar popup, you should be able to change the date by either means.
