Activity One: System Administrator Verifies UI and Defaults
System Administrator verifies the UI according to the mockups and the default Permission/Level and Role/Level associations.- ST.Script.01.Verify Permission and Level Associations — Verify that the default permission and level associations are correct.

Activity Three: Author Sets Permissions for Default Settings Template
Author sets the permissions for the default settings template that he/she would like to apply to New Forums.- ST.Script.01.Access Default Settings Template — Preparatory script for the rest of the DST test scripts.
- ST.Script.02.Change Level Assigned to Students — Test to ensure that a change to the default Role and Permission Level associations persists.
- ST.Script.03.Assign a Custom Level to Assistants — Test to ensure that the Custom level behaves appropriately when custom permissions are selected.
- ST.Script.04.Manually Assign the Contributor Level to the Observer Role — Test to ensure that Permission Level is tied to the appropriate permissions when selected manually.
- ST.Script.05.Restore the Defaults — Test to ensure that restoring the default Role and Permission Level associations only persists when the user saves the settings.
Activity Four: Author Creates Forums and Sets Permissions
Author creates a new forum and sets the permissions that he/she would like to apply to New Topics.- ST.Script.01.Verify Inherited Permissions — Preparatory script for the rest of the DST test scripts.
