Responsiveness of Email tool

Description

When viewed in mobile view, the responsive design for several tools is too wide for a cell-phone sized mobile device, resulting in a screen that appears to cut off data on one side and requires sideways scrolling to view the information. This is a very awkward and unpleasant experience for mobile device users.

Ironically, some of the “older” tools in Sakai seem to be sized appropriately when viewed in mobile view, while several of the “newer” tools are the ones that don’t size correctly for the screen.

I have gone through tool by tool for all of the core, unstealthed tools typically available in a course site. I will include screenshots of the problematic ones below.

Note: For my testing and screenshots, I used Firefox’s Responsive Design View with the iPhone SE 2nd edition selected for the size profile (i.e. 375 x 667). I also spot checked with a few other device sizes for other common phones, but the main difference was in the length of the display, not in the width of the device. Newer models like iPhone 12/13 Pro (390 x 844) and Galaxy S20 (360 x 800) still experienced the same issues with content being cut off.

Email: Fix the responsiveness of Compose page in Email tool in mobile view.

Mostly good, but “Subject” is cut off a bit on right side.

Tested on https://trunk-maria.nightly.sakaiproject.org/, build 22738a5c. The Subject label appears entirely within the page. Nothing on the Compose tab is cut off or requiring horizonal scrolling.
