Overlapping of "Insert a link" and "Insert an image" overlays

When I login as an Instructor and navigate to the Commons tool, there is an option to add a link or an image. Clicking on the “Insert an image” option followed by clicking on the “Insert a link” option does not close the former overlay. Instead, both overlays remain open until the “Cancel” option is selected, leading to both of them overlapping. In the best case scenario, only the current overlay should remain open with none of them overlapping.
