T&L/UX discussed this issue on 11/1/2023 and we agree that the student submission print view is indeed very ugly. Perhaps the print view of the blank assessment (for paper test-taking purposes) could be used as a model for the student submission print view, just with the student responses added?

Currently, there is not an easy way for instructors to export or print a single student’s test submission. This would be useful in case an instructor needs a hardcopy of the submission for documentation. Printing the page is very ugly (see attached PDF, printed from Sakai 24/25).
I would like to suggest a print view for the student submission that includes the question, answers, answer key, student response, feedback, and scores. See the test plan for the full list to include. This could be on the grade by student page.
