If you try to add a web content tool via Site Info but forget to add the URL or (more likely) forget or misspell http:// there is a really unhelpful error message which mentions “macros” which (I guess) not a single person uses anymore.
Examples of URLs where you would see this message:
http:// - default, pre-populated URL
www.bbc.com - missing protocol
http://www,bbc.com - comma not dot
It would be far better to have a message that says
“XXX is not a valid URL”
Just a simple message pointing out the mistake. Dont mention ‘macros’ there’s no locatable documentation on macros any more (if there ever was).
Current Message
Alert: Invalid URL. If you were trying to use macros with curly braces like ${SITE_INFO} please remove them: $SITE_INFO.
