Accessibility - Tests & Quizzes - Print Assessment - Assessment and Part Titles have poor color contrast

Description

Issue

The color contrast of the Assessment Title and the Part Title in the “Print” assessment process does not meet accessibility standards. The titles currently have a nice, light shade of blue but the color is too light and does not pass contrast checks.

The color is currently set to “#01a5cb” (a light, teal-like blue). On a white background, this has a color contrast value of 2.89:1 which does not meet standards.

There are other potential accessibility challenges with this presentation, but this color change should be relatively easy to address.

Proposal

Increase the color contrast value from “#01a5cb” (light teal) to at least “#017893” (which is 5.11:1 and passes the large text test for WCAG AA and AAA, passes normal text for WCAG AA but not WCAG AAA) or “#015F74” (which is 7.26:1 and passes all tests for normal and large text).

When will this change be visible on NIghtly? Tomorrow (Thursday, 10/23/2024)?

Currently, the color is still the unacceptable light teal (at least on the following nightly server --

Here is the CSS code that must change (.assessment_title):

Again, must be a darker blue. Cannot be #01a5cb.

Go with the darker Sakai blue: #0f4b70 (WebAIM test on the darker blue).
