(My apologies for not having this in the right Project – I can't figure out how, in the new Atlassian JIRA, to select anything other than the various Contrib projects. Only the Contrib projects were available on the drop-down menu.)

I'm interested in better ways to link disparate sakai_events. A sakai_event gets posted for most everything a person does, including grading an assignment. What we don't know is WHICH assignment was being graded. That could be important, especially for analytics. For example:

• is the instructor grading assignments from students?

• how much time has elapsed between when the original assignment was submitted and when it was graded?

• which assignment submissions are left to grade?

What I'm asking for is that the sakai_events log be enhanced further so that the context allows a asn.grade.submission event includes information about the actual assignment that was being graded to.

This is part of a broader set of requests for sakai_events. I'll also post one related to grading assignments that is similar.
