I was mistaken as to what content-review was referring to – I don’t have access to this option on 21x.

For the record, I’m not personally invested in getting this fix merged into previous versions; it’s verified in master and that’s good enough for me. If QA for this ticket holds up a 21.x release, I’d be okay with ripping the commit out - only if is okay with that (Christina set the 21 Status to “Please Merge” according to the ticket history)

- I think the “Merged” status is still appropriate because has already merged this ticket into the 21.x branch. But I’m not positive how the community does QA for 3rd party integrations; I think it typically boils down to users of those services to test.

do I change the 21 status to “Please Merge” as Turnitin is not configured on nightly server 21x?

Consider if you create an assignment, change some Content Review settings, then add the assignment (or possibly take any action that persists the settings in the state, like visiting Model Answer, etc). If you then create a second assignment, the content review settings you've created on the previous assignment will stick.
These settings should be cleared / returned to their defaults.
