Calendar: Merge External Calendars - Unexpected Error

Description

In Site #1, I first published its calendar to generate urls to the calendar contents. Then, in Site #2, I selected Merge External Calendars. I filled in a Calendar Name and pasted the URL; I clicked Subscribe, made sure the Subscribed? box was checked; I clicked Save.

The Calendar and Calendar widget were both replaced with "Error: An unexpected error has occurred." and a bug report.

Attached:

  • screen capture of the Calendar page with bug report

  • tail log beginning with entering the Calendar until error page displayed

Note 1:  Whether using Publish (private) or Publish (public), the error resulted.

Note 2:  When I tried to Merge External Calendars and use the Demo Term Dates within the site, it gave no errors, but no events displayed from it.

So I locally reverted and that fixed this issue. Looking into what might have happened there.

I looks like this is silently failing for me after Step 10

In previous versions of Sakai after you click subscribe it would show you the calendar that you were subscripted to.

In 22 and 23 it just goes back to the calendar as if the submit button was pressed.

I’m bumping this up to Blocker as this this tab doesn’t seem to work at all anymore and is a regression.

Previous Sakai would add this schedule without any problem.

22 doesn’t work. I’m not sure if it’s related to that mail issue I mentioned before but I’m not seeing anything in the logs.

I might have time to look at this but anyone can pick this up.
