The issue still persists using questions created with the older version of the FCK Editor.
Tested in Trunk(http://nightly2.sakaiproject.org:8082/portal) and 2.9.3(http://qa5-us.sakaiproject.org/portal) using the assessment: SAM-1392_OldFont.zip.

Raúl

Created with FCK Editor in 2.9 and work with Print:
NewLink.zip
SAM-1392.zip
Older questions that do not work with Print:
SAM-1392_OldFont.zip
SAM-1932_OldLink.zip

When I tested, I used the steps in the description to reproduce. As Raúl noted, if small, medium or large font sizes are used, the print to pdf is broken.
Instructors have Question Pools and Quizzes with questions created in the older version of the FCK Editor and these quizzes will not print.
Also, the questions using the older FCK Editor used <br /> before inserting a link and will not print to pdf, while the new FCK Editor uses <p> tags and works.
For the old questions:
In FF, it is possible to right-click and select 'only this frame' -> print and then print to pdf and it works properly.
Using the Print button after selecting Print in the Quiz, does not work.
----------------------
I'm attaching 2 tests that were created with an older version of the FCK Editor, along with a test using the new FCK Editor in 2.9 so you can see the difference.
----------------------
Is there a good solution for instructors who reuse their question pools and quizzes so they don't have to modify every single test/question in order to use the Print button?

When using tags such as <span style="font-size: medium"> (created by FCK editor) under Settings>Assessment Introduction>Description/Intro causes the print PDF feature to create a PDF that adobe will not open. Removing these types of tags will allow a user to open the PDF file created for an assessment.
Replication:
1) Create an assessment
2) In Settings>Assessment Introduction>Description/Intro enter some text
3) Highlight some of the text and then in the FCK editor in the size dropdown box choose a size
4) Save
5) Print > Download PDF. Make sure "Show Intro & Part's Title" is checked.
6) Open the downloaded file
7) Adobe error (attached)
