Hovering over menu options of collapsed left menu bar leaves text unclickable and behind other UI pieces

Description

I'm not sure if this is intended or not, but when the left menu bar is collapsed by clicking on the << (above Home), hovering over the various icons such as Home and Resources shows the blue box sometimes behind other elements to where the text is unreadable and those parts of where the box would be are unclickable. This is not the case for when the blue box covers up the general text like the Copyright info which is why I wasn't sure if this was supposed to happen or not.

The text goes over the other UI pieces like I think is intended when running on my Windows machine in both Chrome and Firefox which makes me think that this may be something to do with my Linux machine?
I added an image working.png that shows how it looks on my Windows 7 environment.

I agree this definitely seems to be a bug or something that at least should not happen since the text remains unclickable even when hovered upon.
