If it's using that panel as Brian said, there's no way without some development on this page. It could happen as suggested on but it's the only way right now. It was setup so you had to enable it on a tool-per-tool basis. ()

It was initially added like this because we had some concerns about performance and incorrect rendering (other regressions) if it was just enabled site-wide because of the delimiters that were used.

I totally agree - quite why it wasd introduced int he first place is beyond me. Surely there must be another way that MathJAX could be enabled?

I also don't really see the point of it and maybe we can relocate that feature. I think it has some good ideas, like having the icons there is nice, but it seems kind of a redundant panel in some ways and just more potential maintenance burden.
