Associate multiple assignments with the same item gradebook fails

Description

Steps to reproduce it:

  • Create an assignment (name Assign1) and Add it to the Gradebook

  • Create an assignment (name Assign2) and Associate it to Assign1
    Now, we have the gradebook item Assign2 associated with (Assign1 and Assign2)

  • Edit the assignment Assign2 and Add it to the Gradebook

And error is produced because there already exists the gradebook item Assign2.

Hi Alex,
The correct behaviour is, in the last step, when we edit the 'Assign2' assignment the option 'Add it to the Gradebook' shouldn't be showed because there exists now a gradebook item named 'Assign2' (associated with 'Assign1' and 'Assign2) and if we Added it to the Gradebook it would produce an error.

Angel, not sure what I have to see here after once solution is applied. In last step I tried to save directly and it saves, and also unselecting the gradebook item, then I see an alert saying that I must select a gradebook item. Is this the expected behavior?
