Relabel button from 'Upload-Download Multiple Resources' to 'Transfer Files'
GENERAL
TESTING
GENERAL
TESTING
Description
A survey conducted last summer (2013) indicated our users believe the Resources tool is inefficient at uploading/downloading of large numbers of files and folders. Resources does support integration with WebDAV clients, which facilitate this type of movement. The poll results lead us to believe that this integration is not exposed in a way that users understand.
Our suggestion is to relabel the current 'Upload/Download Multiple Resources' button to 'Desktop Access'. It may be more visible to users interested in the feature, and lessens the real estate dedicated to the button for those who are not interested.
The idea of including WebDAV in the name was also considered, but user polling suggests most users (88%) are not familiar with the term WebDAV.

So the downside to this change from some of our clients: students think "Transfer Files" is the primary action they are supposed to complete. WebDAV was obscure, but we kind of want this functionality to be obscure. "Transfer Files" sounds tempting, important, and something that must be done and not an optional, desktop-only protocol that we want to hide from 99% of all users.
