Include a column for a grade override that would allow adjusting the final grade numerically (now only a letter grade adjustment is allowed, i.e., change a B+ to an A- or B).
1. Final grade is B/84.5
2. IOR wants to deduct 4 (-4) points from the overall grade
3. Selects column for calculated grade override
4. Enters 81.5
5. Final Grade is B/81.5

We have to have a design discussion first in order to estimate this. For the design discussion we estimate 2 points.

We just talked to Brian about the score modifier use-cases and he mentioned the following ones:

1. Easy way to create extra credit for an item. Let's say the student got 95/100 and the instructor modifies it by +6% the user would end up with 100.7
2. A student get deducted ( -1% ) for each day the assignment is turned in late
3. A student get credited ( +1%) for each day the assignment is turned in early

Heard answers for my questions:

1) Yes, we would handle it in the units the GB is in. So for a points GB, we would enter points, for a percentages GB, it would be a percentage.

2) This would not be enabled for letter grades.

3) Just the student summary screen, and since my doesn't propagate this information to the student screen, that should not need to change.

Questions for this one:

1) Do we want to change this so instead of percentage it is in the units of the GB? Ie, percentage and points?

2) What about letter grades? What affect would this have?

3) What would the UI for this look like? Do we want to add this to the multigrade screen ? Or just the student summary screen?
