We will use GXT v3.y.z alongside v2.2.5/v2.3.0. The strategy is to lessen our dependency on GXT and use GWT native widgets wherever possible.

I have just sent a couple of questions to the Sencha GXT forum regarding future directions and GWT version support.

So far, I have tested running GXT v2 and v3 together and this seems to work pretty well. I think this is a good solution to gradually move over to GXT v3 or some other UI framework.
