Reminder emails are sent even with the general e-mail settings disabling the notifications

We have disabled the e-mail notifications in the administrator configuration page, in "Control email settings".

However, when the maintains create evaluations and set them to send a daily reminder email, the email is also sent.

We are using Evaluation System 1.2.1 with Hierarchy 1.2.4 in a 2.5.3 server.

This last point is related to evalsys-1049 - the label for the setting is wrong, itts should just say "reminders" and not "Notification and reminders": the initial notification is always sent, it is just the reminders that be configured.

Having said that, this point is unrelated to the bug that the email is reporting.

Does anybody know if this is fixed in 1.3-rc1?

Also, a mail has been sent to the students when the evaluation has started, so it seems that disabling the e-mail in the general settings doesn't work neither in that case.
