Link to event Site in Dashboard redirects to error page "Unable to Connect"

Description

As Student in Dashboard, clicking the course site title of an event under Assignments & Events redirects to problem loading page.

To Reproduce:

  1. As student, go to Dashboard

  2. Click the Course Site title next to an event under Assignments & Events

In Chrome testing as an Instructor I was in Dashboard, clicked on an event's course site title, and the page won't open. I get a site can't be reached page which I am attaching.

OS X Yosemite v10.10.5

FYI, I moved this issue to the Dashboard project. Most bug reports do go in the Sakai project, but a few have a separate project: Lessons, Samigo, and Dashboard are three of the main ones. I know that can be confusing. Sorry.

I tested this on Chrome version49.0.2623 had the exact same results
