Starred and hidden buttons no longer work in dashboard

Description

When I click on the hidden icon (the red X) it says "the item is now hidden" but nothing else happens. When I click on the star, also nothing happens. It doesn't move it to the other tabs, and the item stays where it is.

Elevated to blocker, this seems like a major functionality of dashboard that isn't working at all. While it's not vital to dashboard functioning, it would either need to be temporary disabled (hidden) or fixed.
