There has been a request for a "facility for each student to see their own stats (as a kind of dashboard) and for completed tasks to be ticked as they do them."

As far as I am aware, this is not currently supported in Sakai. I thought that Dashboard would be the best tool for this as it already provides a synoptic overview, but if there are other alternatives, please feel free to suggest.
