Sakai 2.9

Sakai 2.9 Release

• Most of the Blocker issues for 2.9 have been resolved.
• Release candidate 01  (2.9.0-rc01) is targeted for September 27th.
• Multiple accessibility issues for Gradebook we discussed because they have patches that have yet to be applied.
  • https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-22569 - Multiple Form Controls on the Course Grade Options page are unlabeled
  • https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-22556 - Multiple Form Controls on the Gradebook Setup page are unlabeled or not explicitly labeled
  • https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-22570 - Multiple Form Controls on the Gradebook Item Summary page are unlabeled
  • All issues will be verified so they can be included in 2.9.0-rc02
• There was discussion that do to lack of resources minor issues may never be address by release or maintenance teams.
  
  • No decision was made by the release team at the teleconference, it will be discussed after the 2.9 release.
    
  • Jane asked how many open Minor issues are there. (~12-14, see below)

2.9 Accessibility Review

Jira issues that have been logged, fixed, verified, and merged

• Joe and Gonzalo have been trying to address as many issues found during the 2.9 accessibility review before the final release.

• The collaborative Testing of the "Tests & Quizzes" Tool which as supposed to take place on on Friday September 21, 2012 was postponed to a future date at the request of multiple participants.
