OSP Terminology

This page has been created to house terminology used within OSP Feature Specifications. Actors or entities that are domain-specialized should be entered here.

Actors

System Admin: A user who is added to the Administrator Workspace site.

Participant: A user who is to interact with scaffolding under the guidance provided.

Reviewer: A user who is granted access to view materials submitted to a #Wizard or #Matrix.

Entities

Cell: The definition of a distinct "box" in which portfolio artifacts may be placed by participants. Cell refers to the component of the scaffolding (#Matrix or #Wizard), rather than the instance belonging to a given #Participant, which is termed a #User Cell.

Cell Artifact: An individual file, #Form, or other artifact attached by a #Participant to a #User Cell.

Submitted Cell: A #User Cell after it has been submitted for review.

User Cell: The instantiation of a #Cell that belongs to a specific #Participant. It may take Cell Artifacts

User Matrix: The instantiation of a #Matrix that belongs to a specific #Participant.

Tools

Matrix: A two-dimensional, grid-centric form of a #Wizard

Wizard: An organizational structure that provides #Cell and #Guidance to #Participant, to be reviewed by a #Reviewer and evaluated by an #Evaluator.
