This is just a first shot to see what kind of interest there might be in the Sakai Community to develop tools using Wicket.

In case you haven't heard of it, Wicket's a component based webapp framework which is currently incubating at Apache.

I can give folks a quick view of what Wicket configuration for Sakai looks like – it's fairly obvious, just standard web.xml config stuff + an applicationContext.xml – and we could discuss Wicket's built-in support for i18n and markup inheritance, which is a nice plus for widget development. Or we can move beyond that into any related topics.
