Creating Video Learning Objects for Sakai with Polimedia
Creating Video Learning Objects for Sakai with Polimedia
Description |
One of the questions to solve for a successful introduction on video content for any e-learning platform is how such content is going to be created. The process of creation has to be designed in such a way that it doesn't waste teacher's precious time and, in the other hand, producing a high quality learning product suitable for the students. With these restrictions in mind, we have designed a framework, that we call Polimedia, to produce such content. We have used Polimedia at the Politechnical University of Valencia jointly with Sakai, and we have more than 400 video learning objects, recorded from more than 200 teachers. In our presentation we will show how the process is designed, we will take a look for real examples, and finally we will insight in how the students use the Polimedia content within Sakai. |
