Verify that the assignments created by the Assignment tool can be submitted by students

User should be able to submit assignments and add attachments to the assignments

Select the Assignments tool from the left navigation bar

The Assignments page is displayed with a list of assignments

Select Assignment 1

User directed to Assignment. In Progress view

3.

Follow the instructions for filling out the assignment

  • Note: There are two options for filling out an assignment; Inline and Attachment. These can be combined in one assignment or each can be the only option. For an Inline only assignment the student must use the Text Editor to complete the assignment (Skip to Step 8). For an Attachment only assignment the student must use the Add Attachments button (see Step 4)
    Select the Add Attachments button

The Add Attachment page is displayed

Select the Browse button

A File Upload pop up window will appear

Select resources.doc and then select the Open button

The pop up window will disappear and the uploaded file will be shown in the Upload local file text box

Select the Continue button

The Assignment is shown and the file attached is shown under Attachments

Select the Preview button

User should be directed to the Assignment. Preview page with the pertinent text and attached file

8.

Select the Save Draft button

User should be directed to the Assignment List where the status for Assignment 1 should say Draft. In Progress

9.

Select Assignment 1

User should be directed to the editable view for Assignment 1's submission

10.

Select the Submit button

The Submission Confirmation page is displayed

Select the OK button

The Assignments page is displayed with a list of assignments and the status for Assignment 1 should display the time and date that the assignment was submitted

Select Assignment 1

User should be directed to the Assignment. Submitted view

13.

Select the refresh arrow icon

User should be directed to the Assignment List page

14.

Select the Help button icon

A popup window should appear opened to the Assignments Tool Overview section of the Help documentation

15.

Close the Help popup window

User should see the Assignment List page
