Connectivity is slowing increasing over the years, likely resulting in being always connected to the Internet at some point. Until that day arrives, however, there will be times when professors and students will be disconnected from technology based learning tools. The idea that tools continue to remain available to users of eLearning systems even while disconnected is sometimes called "nomadic computing".
