Sakaipedia was established in early 2005 as a collaborative documentation effort for and by the Sakai community.
Planned Approach
- Define a high level structure
- Create intial articles
- Glean new articles from email
- Encourage others to participate
Issues
- It has been very difficult to get people to consistent contribute.
- People are reluctant to edit articles in place, unless they created them in the first place.
- Competitor sites have sprung up. While this is good because other people are creating quality material, it's bad because there are more places than ever to look for stuff.
Project Status
- Getting out of date rapidly, though there is a lot of historical information preserved.
Things to Do
- Update articles and potentially organization to Sakai 2.2 code.
