Pre-draft draft. Consider this to be a document with gales of wind passing through it. The Product Council on June the 2nd felt that it would be a worthwhile effort to develop an impressions document in response to the Sakai 2.8 release taking shape.
The PC will advocate for the important work which may be under-resourced. Specifically the early impression is that the CKEditor and Security work.
CKEditor upgrade - is highlighted as an important effort to recruit resources for. The existing tool, FCKEditor, has poor accessibility characteristics. To the extent that the Sakai Community is committed to accessibility this is an opportunity to execute on this commitment.
Security patches - similar to displaying commitment to the accessibility by application of effort, security patches should be prioritized.
